VISION, MISSION, PHILOSOPHY AND OBJECTIVES









SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY



The students of Blessed Maria Cristina Brando School should be afforded the opportunity to develop a life exemplified by the life of Jesus Christ. We believe that each student is a unique individual created by God. Because of this uniqueness, we strive to provide a holistic approach to education, combining a high quality contemporary program with Catholic values that are lived and modeled the school community. The students of Blessed Maria Cristina Brando School are guided and assisted by highly dedicated and faith filled Sisters and teachers who cultivate their spiritual, intellectual, emotional, creative and physical faculties. We look to Jesus as servant leader, as teacher and healer, and as model of our educational and teaching apostolate.

Blessed Maria Cristina Brando School envisions itself as a Catholic learning institution committed to develop a morally upright Christians, who love God above all and capable of loving, serving others, and to develop outstanding and well-rounded individual.



MISSION STATEMENT


The mission of Blessed Maria Cristina Brando School is to “Teach and Love”. This is to create a learning environment illuminated by the act of loving and caring for the children and to foster the development of faith, include in its teaching gospel values, influences the building of the community, and has a commitment to service, within a climate that calls forth excellence in academics.


CORE VALUES

The school creates an atmosphere for learning where the administrators, educators, and parents help one another to foster:

1. FAITH – trust and confidence in God.

2. SIMPLICITY AND HONESTY – living a simple life and truthfulness, obediently follow rules, standard and ideals.

SPECIFIC GOALS



In keeping with the Vision-Mission of Blessed Maria Cristina Brando School, the school aims:

1. To provide an environment that nurtures the growth of each student’s relationship with God and community through prayer, liturgy, service and academics.

2. To recognize the uniqueness and talents of each individual, thereby encouraging each child to reach his/her potential and to develop and maintain his / her positive self-image.

3. To guide the students in the use of their gifts to serve other so that they may become productive members of our community and society. To develop creative thinking and problem solving skills.

4. To provide an academic program which emphasizes personal growth and responsibility in a Catholic environment where students are taught the skills and processes needed to be successful in today’s society.

5. To guide and motivate students in becoming self-directed, responsible, respectful and independent learners.

6. To make learning an enjoyable, interesting and meaningful experience for each student.

7. To create an atmosphere that nurtures the Christian values of acceptance, friendship, compassion and forgiveness.

8. To follow the spirituality of Blessed Maria Cristina Brando, characterized by the love of God and love of neighbor; to honor through distinctive worship and adoration in the Blessed Sacrament under the dual aspect of love and reparation.
